Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport

Room 320 The hotel and staff were excellent. The room would have been 4 stars but there was NO HOT WATER at 7:30am in the morning. I didn’t scroll far enough back in the reviews to see that this is a known issue for SOME of the rooms but they did comp our one night stay. I would try it again just to see if it was a one off issue 😁

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and book it almost once a month. Service is great, rooms are clean BUT no matter what room I stay in the water pressure, hot water and (I know this sounds stupid) the shower controls (for hot and cold) are horrendous. You can never tell which way is hot/cold, and water pressure/shower heads suck. I’m a bald man and it takes me 20-30 minutes to shower just to wash soap off. If my wife and daughters were with me they’d never leave the shower. If they fixed that I’d honestly wouldn’t have anything to complain about. Reasonably priced and service is always great. I still stay here frequently (thinking it was just my room with pressure issues) but I’m tired of working all day and the shower being horrible. Hoping this review is actually read and something gets in the works for this to change, a lot of people are here working out of town and the only thing we want is a damn hot, pressurized shower.

I'm done staying here. I had done a review about a year ago and have had to erase it due to my most recent stays. First, the staff are very nice and welcoming. Nothing wrong there. They have never been anything but kind. So, this stay began with me checking in the day before arrival on the app. When I arrived at the hotel the next day at 4pm, there were no rooms ready. I had to sit in the lobby for an hour for a room to be cleaned. It was after 5pm (check in time 3), and they canceled the room checked into on the 1st floor and put me on the 4th. The room they put me in has obviously had the door kicked in before because you have to slam against it to open. Inside the room is typical and a but run down. The dishwasher isn't even attached to the counter and moves out of place by using it. You would have better water pressure if you just waited for it to rain and showered outside. Horrible. I spoke to the desk about it 3 times and they said they fixed it. If I have to stay here again I'll buy a bucket to wash I because it would be quicker than the pathetic shower. Breakfast is hit or miss like most Hilton locations. Im so disappointed in this stay that it is definitely my last at this hotel.

The hotel doorways, elevators and hallways need deep cleaning. The room was spacious, yet over priced. It too could have been cleaner. The floors were sticky. I thought I would be able to watch the Sunday night football game, however, that notion was kilt. The staff checking in was much better than that checking out. Perhaps it was too early for the lady checking us out with an attitude. I come to Shreveport often for my father’s medical appointments and mostly won’t be back to this location. I’m not sure why their reviews are so high.
